Dance Recital

Dear Abigail,

You big finale dance recital was last Friday (right before we headed out to the beach), and you did wonderful!  Your last practice was on Wednesday, but you woke up Tuesday with pink eye so we had to sit the last practice out.  No worries, you showed up for rehearsal on Thursday ready to go!  And you turned it up for Friday night's performance!! 

 Miss Missy did a great job with all the costumes and dance routines.  Everyone in your class was a Disney princess and you were Jasmine!

 Before we headed to the show, we tried to get the classic 'ballet pose' picture from you, but that's like asking a monkey to not climb, so like you...

 Even your family pose just had to be silly!!!

 But I bribed you for a pretty smile :)

 And Caroline came to watch you perform.  She LOVED your costume and couldn't stop laughing at it, in a good way.

 Of course Mimi made it to your show and she was so impressed with how cute you looked, not to mention how well you performed...

 Aunt Amy was there, too, and I thought she was going to have to show me how to do that fancy bun but thankfully your teacher told me you didn't have to have the bun because you were Jasmine!  So we just hairsprayed the mess out of that head of hair!

 The show was VERY long, which Mimi tells me I need to get used to because she's been to many MANY longer ones, but still, you were all smiles considering the time...

 Your sister did pretty good too, although it was difficult to grab a picture of the two of you!

 She preferred to carry your flowers around :)

 

 You were a beautiful Jasmine, but I have to say, I think you are probably more suited to be in a soccer uniform.  Mommy was constantly concerned you were tearing, ripping, destroying your costume before the show even started!!  This picture pretty much sums up the entire day/night of you in a fancy costume!

 Yep, that's you falling...  Wouldn't be a day without one.  Love you all the same Jasmine!
