Gentry's Farm Weekend

Dear Abigail,
This weekend, we made our annual trip with the gang to Gentry's Farm, well, minus Ellie and fam - shame on them (she was spending a little time with Nona!). It's so fun comparing the crew to each year we've gone...
Our first year...
Our second year...
And this year!
It's very clear how every year so much changes, but can you see the one consistency??? Well, other than our friendship with this group. Daddy's shirt!!! He didn't plan it the first 2 years, but now he gets a big kick out of wearing the exact same outfit each year. Maybe that shirt will find a mysterious hole in it sooner than later...
Here's a few more glimpses into the past...
Napping the first year...
Sitting still the 2nd???

No naps and no sitting still this year - that's for sure!!
Here's you and Ryan the first year (I think you were the only one walking - Ryan may have been a little bit)...
No problems walking that next year, huh!
And clearly some things stay the same!!
As you can see, each year it seems to get more and more fun for you kiddos! We decided this year to go on Saturday (usually we end up going on Sunday) and to go early and what a smart move that was! We also decided to take pictures immediately upon arrival A) to avoid waiting in line to get the best background shot and B) to avoid dirt in the picture. Both worked out for us because as you will see you found the mud almost immediately after the pictures were taken!
Here's a few our posed shots...
Our family of four!
You and your boys...
And of course the newest additions to our group - the babies!!!
Ya'll had so much fun running around and playing on the playground, playing with the goats and chickens, playing in the 'feed', running through the barn maze, swinging on the tire swing, and riding on the hay ride!!! The whole group went on the ride and we looked at tons of cows, which you were very concerned with whether they were going to join us or not. They didn't. Here's some highlights of our day at Gentry's...
Sliding...
Swinging...
Watching...
Playing...
Begging Baby Grant to come on because we were going to the hay ride!!!
And of course picking out a pumpkin or 2 with Daddy!
And of course, climbing...
After the farm, we all headed to eat burgers at Riffs in downtown Franklin - well, except at the last minute you decided you wanted a hot dog like Ryan. One day I will learn to ask what Ellie and Ryan are getting first. After our burgers, and strangely enough, the daddies decided they needed dessert!!! That NEVER happens, but Daddy started the trend and next thing I know, we're all eating frozen custard.
Everyone headed home and rested, but later that afternoon Ryan (and his fam) came over to the house just to chill and watch the 2nd half of the ball game. You and Ryan did an excellent job of playing together, and when I say playing together I mean destroying your playroom!!! It was quite impressive, I must say! We ordered pizza and let the 2 of you run around like crazy, while we relaxed a bit. At one point we didn't hear anything, so Miss Leigh went to scope it out and found the 2 of you under the sheets in Mommy's bed! Apparently you are not the only one who likes to hide from us!! After they left, I decided I needed to put you and your little sis in your matching halloween pj's and man alive I am glad I did - y'all are too too cute in your bones!
And, they glow in the dark. We all went into the laundry room multiple times too see your bones glow! You loved it, and secretly I wished I had a pair too!
On Sunday, Aunt Amy and Uncle Martin and the kiddos (and Papa, too) came to visit and have lunch with us. It was a spectacular fall day so Daddy grilled out and we enjoyed spending a Sunday with family...
You and Harrison had a ball doing who knows what in the playroom (the playroom that has yet to be cleaned up from you and Ryan!!!!). After a lovely afternoon, we all rested for a bit and you and Daddy got to work on carving one of our pumpkins!
And I let Kate help out a little, too...
Okay, Kate didn't help much, but, honestly, neither did you! You didn't want to get your hands dirty! Kept saying 'it's yucky in there'!! But man alive were you excited to see the finish product...
Of course, you were more excited about the flashlight you got to hold while we were outside at dark, but all in all, you liked the fancy pumpkin Daddy carved for you! A fun fun fun weekend Abs! It's that time of year, we love the weather and love all the activities going on! Next weekend is just as fun-filled!!!
Love you and your baby sis!
