Mary Poppins

Dear Abigail,

On Sunday, Mommy had a special surprise for you.  After lunch, we headed to Memphis for a special date night with Mommy and Sarah.  We went to dinner and then went and saw Mary Poppins at the Orpheum!  Mommy new it was coming up, so I had let you watch Mary Poppins a week or 2 before and you LOVED it.  I was so excited that you loved it because, I, too, love it.  You asked a million times if you could watch "Mary Poptins" so when I told you we were going to watch her on a stage, you were super excited (after I explained that they were real people and not people dressed up in costumes, that is...)  

What a great time we had, too.  We went to Huey's to eat dinner.  Mommy and Sarah's fave, particularly the loaded fries and the ranch dressing, which you, too, claimed as a fave. 

 After dinner, we rushed to the Orpheum just to see the curtain rising.  You had to potty really really bad, but you held it for a bit so we could see the opening act.  Thankfully a lot of kiddos were there, so people expected to be climbed over to go potty :)

 You were very interested in the show and sat in Mommy's lap most of the time.  Not that I am surprised at all, but you could not sit still at all.  You are the wiggliest worm alive.
At intermission, we got a little dessert...

 and you didn't hold back, at all...

It was a great date night with me and your BFF and you.  We will for sure be seeing many more shows together.  And you still go around singing "Supercalifragilisticsexpealidocious" or however you spell it.  You'd think I know after they spelled it so many times in the show!!!!
