Last Week

Dear Abigail,
Last week was a super exciting week for us, so much that I have 2 separate posts to talk about 1) Mother's Day and 2) Your first loose tooth!  But for now, I'll recap everything else!  We had a fairly normal week the week before last, with the exception of Mommy meeting Mimi half way to trade you two kiddos for a weekend sans kids.  It wasn't supposed to be as glorious as it ended up, but some times things just work out.  It was Aunt Amy's big Spring Ing Fling in Cookeville and Princess Alexis was suppose to watch you kiddos while we went to her party (all in Cookeville), but then Uncle Jaybee decided he wanted to make it some what of a birthday party for him, as well, so he got a fancy limo to take us to Cookeville, sans kids, of course.  So this is where Mimi came into play.  She said she'd meet us half way on Saturday, because I didn't want you to miss anymore soccer games BUT the forcast called for nothing but mounds of rain, so I made a quick decision to just meet Mimi on Friday after you got out of school and there we have it.  You spent a weekend at Mimis.  Sort of.  Apparently on Friday night you went home with Emily and John Michael and got to sleep in JM's new bunk beds.  And apparently you watched Sponge Bob, but you said it was Uncle Bubba's fault because you told him you couldn't watch it.  I got onto Uncle Bubba, don't you worry.  On Saturday, you went with Aunt G and the crew to Chick-fil-a and then back to Mimis, but not for long because you spent the night with Clara Lee Saturday night! Finally on Sunday you stayed with Mimi and Mommy met you and Katie Bug half way on Monday.  And, in case you are wondering, Mommy had a great weekend, too :)  Aunt Amy had a 'Futuristic' Themed party (because she likes to torture us and make us dress up for every party!!)  That's Aunt Steph dressed up like some character from The Fifth Element.  I have no clue who it is because I've never seen the movie but she assures me that's the look this character always gives... So she says :)  And Mommy and Daddy did indeed dress up - as Katniss and Peeta, from Hunger Games!  I was quite proud of my costume because it required little effort and I looked 90% normal, even so that people suggested I wear my hair like that more often!  Ha, that will teach Amy to throw a theme at me!!
After a fun weekend at Mimi's, we continued the fun week at home.  For starters, you mentioned a tooth hurting, but as mentioned, I will get to that in another post.  I had fun dressing you two alike, too! Now that it's warmer weather, I have lots of cute clothes for both of you and love seeing you all matchy matchy.  It's getting difficult with you being so big now and Katie Bug still sporting the bubbles, but I manage :)
We also had a little sidewalk chalk action going on with such beautiful weather!
And you enjoyed Mommy's new bag she got from your BFF!

That thing is HUGE!  And awesome.  Tuesday was Mother's Day Tea (again, later!) and Wednesday was ballet with a little Mexican for dinner.  It had been a LONG time since we went, so you were super excited!!
Thursday was 'Bike-a-thon' day at school.  You got to bring your bike to school and all day (or well, for 2 hours) you and all your friends from school rode your bikes around and around and around, all to raise money for kids that are sick.  Mommy and Kate stopped by after Kate's gymnastics and see you spinning those wheels.  First, though, we had to get a picture with the ever beloved Rachel!  You sit by her every single day at lunch.  Or so you say...
And then there is Maylee, who you have asked to spend the night (at her house) pretty much every day...
Then off you went on your bike!

Mom had fun watching you and was impressed that you took just a few breaks :)
Friday was another day at school and guess where we went for dinner, to Mexican.  It was back to our routine of Friday night Mexican with Ellie and the gang, and we had no problems going twice in one week!!
Saturday morning was your "last" soccer game of the season.  I use quotes because you did have a make up on Monday, BUT, Coach Will wasn't going to be able to make it, so we went ahead and had our "End of the Season" party after this game.  It's so sad because Coach Will (and Jayden) are moving back to Houston.  He's been your coach for 3 years and we've grown rather fond of him.  After the game, we had donuts and chocolate milk for everyone (it was a 9:00 game, so it was still breakfast time!) and handed out trophies and certificates!  Coach Will called you and Jayden "Partners in Crime" because the two of you really new how to get that ball in that goal!  We will miss Sweet Jayden...

And of course there was a little squeeze time from Uncle Jaybee...
After the game, we ran into Target and Daddy got a kick out of pushing you two in the double shopping cart, that is, for at least the first couple minutes.  Then he recognized that bad boy is a pain to push around.

Saturday afternoon we headed back to Cookeville (I know right!) for Aunt Jill's graduation party.  She got her Master's in Nursing Admin (hooray for her!!) and we wanted to celebrate with her.  You and Kate and Ellie and Kipper all stayed at Aunt Amy's with Caroline while we went to the party.  It was a late party, so you were better off staying at home.  Not to mention you had a super cool babysitter who painted your toenails and let you watch Cinderella!
On Sunday, we headed back home and celebrated Mother's Day (another post!).   A great couple of weeks we've had going for us Abs!  Love you!!
