First Day of Pre-K

Dear Abby,
Maybe you noticed I said "Abby" instead of "Abigail".  That's because you had to decide whether to be called Abby or Abigail this year for school.  You are starting to write your name on everything and the teacher said that you had to either be one or the other. You decided "Abby" was the more appropriate name for Pre-K, specifically because you didn't want to bother with learning how to spell "Abigail"! HA!  So, Abby it is!  Look how grown up you are, Abby!
You are one of the oldest in your class this year (with the September birthday) and no one from your class last year is in your class this year, so all new friends.  No worries, though, you were excited as can be to meet new friends!
While Mom enjoyed our summer together, I was also pretty excited to see you start school.  You love school and I love the exposure it gives you, and I also like to take the 4 hours to shower, and run errands, all child free :)
Your little sis started school, too, and was just as excited as you!
You met your new teachers, Miss Pam and Miss Kim and Mommy immediately had a good feeling about this year at school.  Talks of walking field trips, and learning about different cultures and math and reading were all things to get me excited!  You had no problem getting adjusted and, as usual, I had to hunt you down to tell you bye!!
I picked you up and what a great day.  Your favorite part was singing some song that you couldn't remember but I loved listening to you trying to remember it :)
Great first day of Pre-K, Cowboy!!!!
PS  - no clue where that Cowboy part came from!!!
