Abby's Vacation

Hey Abs! It’s Ash Ash again! I’m going to tell you all about your wonderful vacation at Mimi’s house. You may have thought it was Mommy and Daddy who were getting the fun vacation, but we have news for them…you had a fun vacation of your very own! What a busy week you had at Mimi’s house. We did so many fun things. We were so excited to have you here for a full week. Clara Lee is CRAZY about you, and she was in heaven with you here. So, here is a recap of your week…

Saturday- This was a BIG day! We set up an inflatable slide at Clara Lee’s other grandma’s house and had a full day of fun in the sun and the pool. You little ones weren’t very fond of the big slide, so that didn’t last long. Y’all managed to keep plenty busy, though! Here are a few things y’all did.

You stood as far away from the water slide as you could and gripping Mimi's hand tightly. Em LOVED the slide!!!

Clara Lee showed you how to play in the corn like a country girl...you were ALL ABOUT it!

But shared a PB&J sandwich.

You, Jack, and Nanner played together in the small pool.

You took a good nap inside Mrs. Barbara's house and then came back out to join us. You were happy to sit back and observe for a little while.

Sunday- Sunday wasn't quite as action packed as Saturday, but you still had a full day of fun in the sun. Mimi took you, Emily, and Katie down to Mammaw's pool. You may not have liked the pool at Mrs. Barbara's, but you were swimming at Mammaw's with Mimi in no time!

Monday- Memorial Day was Monday and it was back to Mammaw's house for us all. We spent the day by the pool playing. Pawpaw and Uncle Bub grilled hot dogs and sausages for us that evening. You must have been worn out from your big day of swimming on Sunday, though, because you spent the majority of the afternoon napping. Ash Ash can't get over how well you will nap ANYWHERE. I think maybe you should talk to your cousin Clara Lee about that a little!

Tuesday- By Tuesday, you and Mimi were in serious need of some rest, so you two spent the day at Mimi's house. You played outside a little bit, had tea on the front porch, and walked over to see those imaginary horses Mimi says you keep seeing!

Wednesday- More fun in the sun, of course! All you and Mimi needed was one day of rest and y'all were ready to go. Clara Lee and I came over and we all went to Mrs. Shirley's pool for more swimming.

Thursday- This was one of my favorite days of your visit. Mimi brought you out to our house early that morning and you spent the whole day here with us. Mimi and Emily came back over that afternoon, and Jamie, Jack, and James Welton joined us as well. We played outside all day and had so much fun.

When we came inside, we got the bouncy out for James Welton...you thought it was for you instead. We couldn't get you out of it!!!

Friday- You and Mimi went to see Emily at Lamb Camp Friday morning. It was her last day and they had a special program. Afterwards, y'all went shopping for Em a birthday present. Later in the afternoon, you and Mimi came back out to our house so you could talk to your mommy and daddy on the computer again.Of course you wanted to get back in the bouncy as soon as you got here.

Saturday- Saturday was Emily's 8th birthday party. She has a skating party. Not being able to skate sure didn't keep you and Clara Lee from having a ball, though. Y'all ran and chased each other all over that skating rink (well, more like Clara Lee chased you and you ran from her). Y'all danced all over that skating rink while the big kids skated and had a blast. It was a great birthday party. I know Emily is glad you were able to be there for it!

We were so glad to have you here for a full week. We had such a good time. You are such a sweet little girl. You have the sweetest voice and you give the sweetest kisses! We can't wait for you to come back for another vacation. We love you and wish you were here with us ALL of the time.
