Easter 2011 - School party

Dear Abigail,
On Thursday, you stayed home from school (as usual) and helped Mommy make cupcakes for your school Easter party on Friday! We had lots of cupcakes to make, between school and what we're taking to Aunt Amy's, so we got right to work once you convinced me you were not taking a nap (that's another issue I'd rather not get into right now, as this is supposed to be a happy post, so we'll just leave it at you did not nap on Thursday. And then I'll add that you were really REALLY bad at Publix. But that's all I have to say about that...).
SO, we put our aprons on, and got to work! You are an expert on cupcake making thanks to an app you like to play on "Daddy's puter", so you had no problems jumping right in with making these...
First, you lined the tins with the paper cups...
And started pouring the ingredients in the mixing bowl... Water first,
then oil,
then a couple eggs to which I had to fish out a few shells. We're going to have to work on that part a little more!
Then we got to mix
And of course lick! I was a bit surprised you were interested in this, but indeed, you were. You even decided to stick it back in the batter to get more, but shhhh, don't tell anyone...
We patiently waited while the cupcakes baked...
And eventually one of us decided we'd nap after all, on the couch, at 5:30...
Unfortunately, I had to wake you up about 15 minutes later to eat dinner, bathe you and put you straight to bed. We both were looking forward to the last one on that list...
Friday you headed off to school, after we reassured you that "No, Mister Easter Bunny was not going to school with you." Unfortunately, when Daddy pulled up in the parking lot, guess who was waving at you??? Yep, that's right, Mister Easter Bunny WAS at your school. You hung to Daddy like your life dependent on it. Your teachers said that he wouldn't make an appearance in your classroom, but Daddy and I both found that hard to believe, and enough, when I got to your party that afternoon, I was told by multiple people how you ran and hid under the table when he stopped by, and how did not come out until he was long gone, oh, and talked about him for the rest of the afternoon...
But, you did seem to forget about him a little bit, at least during the Easter party!

Here's you and Addison and Bryson...
And someone being silly...
Oh, and Silas. I'm pretty sure Silas has a little crush on a pretty little girl in his class. But I won't name any names...
Easter Egg Hunt!!!

You were definitely a good egg hunter, no doubt and you knew to look inside those eggs for extra goodies, too!!!

After the hunt, we all came back in for the party! Lots of yummy food like cupcakes and cheetos and all the fun stuff!
Here's you and London...
And Daddy helping you eat your cupcake (that you made)
And then you not really caring for said cupcake...
But for some reason you do prefer the wrapper... (we don't question it!!)

After the party, you and Daddy stopped by to visit our new neighbors at the house we're building. Both neighbors were really nice, and one let you use their potty - very nice! We're just getting started on the house, so I bet we'll be making many many more trips over there!
After you guys got back and we relaxed for a little bit, we headed to Mexican with Ellie, Aunt Steph and Uncle Jaybee. You tried to sing your Spanish song to the waitress but got a little too shy!! We headed home after Mexican to get ready for the big Easter weekend at Aunt Amys!
More to come - love you baby!
