Dear Abby,

HE'S HERE!!!  Hooray, hooray, we're to get our dog today!!!  The Saturday after Thanksgiving we headed to pick up the cutest dog in the whole wide world.  Seriously though, he's precious.  You were ECSTATIC.  You have been counting down the days, heck the weeks, forever now, and when Saturday came, you woke up ready to go.  

You kept asking Mommy "are you scared" because you overheard me tell Daddy that one time (about getting the dog) and so you genuinely were concerned that I was scared.  I was, I have to admit, but not of the puppy itself, just of having a brand new puppy in our house!!!!  But here goes nothing!!!  

 Seriously though, so stinkin' cute...

 Here's our ride home.  Daddy drove while Mommy held him.  He slept the entire time, too.

 When we first got home, we immediately introduced him to his crate and told him it was going to be his new favorite place.  The lady we got him from sent us home with a blanket that he had been sleeping with and that she rubbed on his mommy.  It was sad, yes, and he really did snuggle up with that blanket (still does and we've had him a little over 5 weeks at this point!).

 You and Kate were just swooned over him (is that a word??) and loved cuddling with him.

 Of course, you had to show him your head stand, because no one comes in the house without seeing a head stand...

 And after about 30 minutes, he was back to sleep.  Just like a little baby.  SO CUTE!

 And late that day Kate had to show him her hand stand while he climbed all over your back.  Call me crazy, but I think this whole dog thing is going to work out!
