Sarah's Weekend

Dear Abby,
Your BFF was heading in town for a long weekend and we had lots of fun things on the schedule, some of which were needing pretty fingernails. SO... we went to get our nails done!  You were super excited and chose a shimmery pink color.  You patiently watched as the lady painted your nails and sat still (sort of) long enough for them to dry!  After the nails, then we headed to Target.  You both were too scared to move because it might ruin your polish!
Later that night, Miss Anna Parsons babysat you while Mommy and Daddy and Sarah went to the symphony to get into the Christmas spirit! The next morning we headed to Cheekwood Botanical Gardens to continue the Christmas spirit. The gardens had lots of fun things to do revolving around Christmas, but our main goal was to see Santa!  You promised you'd sit in his lap and make sure he got your letter, so off we went.  When we got there, though, it was a 2 hour delay until we could see Santa.  Thankfully they don't make you wait in line and instead you hop around from all the different activities.  First off, reindeer...

They were super cool and super big.  One was white and he was your favorite!  Next up, Santa's sleigh!

This is your impression of Santa heading off to pass out toys!

We, then, moved on to cookie decorating, which you were VERY happy to do...

and eat...

And after that, we headed to the craft zone...

And then ANOTHER craft...
We grabbed a quick lunch and finally it was time to meet Ole St. Nick.  Given our luck, he had to have a quick bathroom break, but his elves were kind enough to pass out some books.
FINALLY!!!  You were so BRAVE!.  I knew you could do it.  And to think that you hid under the table on the train ride!  (notice your little sister is no where to be found...)
AND, he did remember your letter.  You wrote a very nice letter to him a couple of weeks prior to this visit.  He said he thought he the elves were working on a one or two of those...
After Santa, we were pretty tired so we headed back home and rested for a minute or two and headed back out to Kipper's second birthday party!  It was fire truck themed and you got to make your own fire truck out of cardboard boxes.

The cake was delicious, and, as always, the company was entertaining.
On Sunday, we headed out for a yummy brunch at Grey's and then walked around the Dicken's Christmas celebration.  We LOVE the Dicken's and this year we got to tag Sarah along!

We enjoyed a carriage ride around the circle and then you HAD to ride the horse on your own.
We had fun and definitely were in the Christmas spirit by the time we left there!
On Monday, you went to school, but at lunch you and your class went to Puckett's in downtown Franklin and sang Christmas songs for all the customers!  Sarah stuck around a little bit longer just to here you sing (and eat a little Pucketts!) and she was not disappointed.
Sarah left not too long after that, but the Christmas celebration continued on.  On Tuesday, you had your Christmas recital at school and you sang like 200 songs.  I also never realized that you were THAT much taller than the rest of your classmates, boys included!!  Daddy and Mommy were both shocked!

Also, it was funny watching you and Ellie interact with each other during the show!  This is why I don't think it's a good idea for the two of you to be in the same class!!
After the awesome performance, we all joined together in the cafeteria for a delicious pot luck lunch!
ALMOST a shot of you cousins.  Not sure how this little boy is that messed it up though :)
HORRAY!!! We're out for Christmas break!!
Yep, that's right!  That was your last day at school.  Hooray!!  Christmas is officially here!!!!!
Love you!
