Mary Poppins

Dear Abby, or should I say Mary Poppins?!
Halloween 2013 was such a success and a whole lot of that has to do with the most fantastic bestest costume you could have picked - Mary Poppins!  You HEART this movie (and so does your momma!) and so it wasn't too surprising to see you pick her.  At one point it was Catwoman, but you quickly changed your mind to Mary Poppins.  I am just not ready for Catwoman and that's all I'll say about that!
So here we are, Miss Mary Poppins.  It was one of the easiest costumes to put together, too!

Our Halloween involved lots of fun activities including meeting Ellie and her crew at the zoo for the Zoo Boo party!  You two had a great time on the hayride and didn't even get scared (or too scared) at the scary dinosaur part!  I was very impressed with you, actually, with how well you handled the other folks dressed up.  Last year we didn't even go because you begged us not to!
This year, you are seen trekking along, collecting candy with nothing but a toothless smile!
Even these two scary things didn't scare you!
We had a fun time on the carousel and it just made me smile seeing my little Mary Poppins on it!!

Daddy enjoyed himself, too!
And it just ain't a party without some dancin', huh!

On Saturday, we headed to Daddy's family in Kingston Springs.  They had a fall bonfire family reunion type thing.  It was perfect with the weather just cold enough for fires and perfect for a hayride!!
You were right in the middle of a hot dog when the 2nd hay ride was about to take off, so you and Caroline and Ellie decided to just take it with ya!

On Sunday, we swung on over to the Pumpkin Festival where you and Katie Bug decided to swap out seats...
You seem comfy... And, of course, we ran into your BB Ryan.
We, or, well YOU, enjoyed a couple slides down the worlds longest jumpy house slide...
And feeding the poor sad animals (sorry, Mommy and Daddy both dislike this section, but you and Kate LOVE the animals.  I just wish it were a bigger space, oh, like a farm, that the animals would be hand fed :)
Another fun event was your friend Anna's birthday party.  She had it at her gymnastics place (Harpeth Gymnastics) and you LOVED IT!

Anna was turning the big 3 years of age!  Happy Birthday Anna!
We also had our annual pumpkin carving night and we thought Daddy was so gross when he ate the seeds!
You and Kate were great digger outers...
And the end result was flawless!  You specifically asked for a 'very scary pumpkin' so a scary ghost it was!
Your school had a Halloween party that included a carnival with lots of games to play.  While you were at the carnival, Mommy and a couple other moms decorated the class room.  All the kiddos were impressed, even you!
Katie-bug got to join you for snack and you were SO proud to have your little sister sitting beside you!
Lunch time came as well and there were ALL kinds of yummy treats!

SO... This was Halloween, like as in October 31st, a Thursday.  We had a party at your school, then we were planning on having everyone over for trick or treating.  Well... the weather was C-R-A-Z-Y this year with really really bad storms, so most of the neighborhoods were postponing the trick or treating until Friday.  Our neighborhood decided Friday was probably the best option considering tornados and bad rain were in the forecast right at T or T time!  To say the least, this was the best idea!
So, instead we ran to Publix AND low and behold they had fun Halloween activities, including games you play for candy and cookie decorating!  You dominated all the games and made an excellent looking cookie!
When we got home, we decided to make Christmas Crack but first you decided to make a tower with all my groceries...

And then you decided to do a flip...
Since it was awful outside to trick or treat, it was suggested maybe we go to the mall.  Ummmm... NO THANK YOU!  This was from Facebook!
It all worked out just perfect actually!  On Friday, it was a beautiful day and everyone was able to join us for some trick or treating!  AND, for the first time in the history of mankind, we were able to get all 6 of you in a picture together!!!  Look how cute everyone is!

Trick or Treating was awesome, scoring lots of candy at lots and lots of houses!
After we got back, you and Ellie put on matching jammies that Aunt Amy bought you and your dolls - cute as can be, even if out of the Mary Poppins character!
Everyone enjoyed a piece or two or 12 of candy and agreed that this Halloween was one of the best!
Love you Mary Poppins!  You are practically perfect in every way!
