Dear Abby,
Here we are again, trying to catch up on the blog. We stay so busy with just having fun that it's hard for me to keep up. Thankfully there is this fantastic things called an Iphone that lets me take pictures and remember all this crazy fun we have!! Here's what's up...
DONUTS!!!! Daddy knows how to make a morning, doesn't he...
And he knows how to make a trampoline! You were so impressed that he built the trampoline all by himself. You kept asking 'but how did you do it Daddy?' and we thought it was hilarious!Did I mention you two love that trampoline?!!!!!
Oh, and the Ipad. You and Ellie bean went missing and this is where I found you. Yes, in the tub.
And that same night I found you brushing your teeth like Gotham from Lord of the Rings...
I can't remember if I mentioned this already, but we put your two twin beds together during the holidays for all the company we had (so it would make a King). YOU LOVED IT! and now we're debating getting you a big bed or keeping the twins. More on that later...
You and Clara Lee and Em all got head towels for Christmas and poor Katie Bug didn't, but we improvised! We all three love our head towels!
And you and Knox napped together...
Oh, and he needed a bath. That was interesting to say the least. We like him fluffy rather than wet!
It's been a pretty cold winter, but for some reason we keep missing all the snow. You stayed with Ellie one night and the next morning there was 'snow' on the ground so you took full advantage of what you got. It made me giggle!
You even tried sledding, but shocker, you hated climbing back up the hill!
Also for Christmas, you and Kate both got a $20 gift card to Walgreens from Billy (your BFF's dad, aka the greatest dad in the world). You knew exactly what you wanted - one of those seatbelt cushion stuffed animal thingys they show on TV commercials. I try my best to avoid commercials with you, but you have seen this in the store AND Clara Lee got one, so it didn't matter if it cost your full $20 gift card, you wanted it! Kate, however, spread hers out (and was willing to share) and she/we walked away with a Minnie Mouse bowling set, a Minnie Mouse flashlight, 3 different color fingernail polish (pink, blue and purple sparkly) and something else I can't think of/see in the basket! It was quite the treat! In spite of the cold weather, we have enjoyed those days of sunshine whether it's walking to the pond or taking a drive in the jeep!
Or on the trampoline!!!!
We've made a dinner stop at Chick Fil A which means ICE CREAM!!!!!
And we've had some tears when Knox chewed up your lovey's ears. Thankfully you got that Doc Mc Stuffins doctor care center and we were able to make Lovey better.
One day for some random reason I decided to make it "Whatever Abby Wants" Day, so you got to pick out a few groceries at the store. Mimi and Ash-ash and Clara Lee were coming in town, so they helped us enjoy it all!
But we couldn't wait for them to eat the watermelon! Who cares if it's January - it's always watermelon season in our house!
Afterwards we had dinner at Gray's where you and CL batted your eyes to our waiter (who by the way was super cute!) and got a free brownie with ice cream dessert!!!
We had lots of fun doing little things, too, like drinking hot chocolate and making puzzles...
oh, and you know, having a lemonade stand. Mommy had a clothing sell at the house and you insisted on having a lemonade stand. I think you made $2!! But I also think you drank most of the lemonade, or at least spilt it!!
Ummm, and have I mentioned you and your sisters (and, well, maybe Mommy's, too) obsession with Frozen. We LOVE the movie and love the soundtrack, too. We have nightly performances, too, and apparently the kitchen counter is the best stage ever...
Speaking of performances, we went to see a Nashville Ballet performance at the Franklin Library. It was so good and was a ballet based on the book Ferdinand the Bull which while you claimed you don't remember, we definitely have read that book. Anyway, again, so good and so happy we can see things like this...
Yes, we met Ellie and we met Caroline there! It's always fun with friends!!
Another big thing we did was ICE SKATE!!!!! This was Aunt Steph's idea and what a great idea it was. We had a special Mommy and daughter day and went to lunch and then hopped on the ice. They have these fantastic bar things that make it so much easier to learn to skate...
Before I knew it, you were skating without it!!! You clearly are an athletic little girl.
So much fun ice skating with you! You loved taking a break and watching Mom go around by herself and you also loved it when I would push you on the bar thing. You said you felt like you were flying!! So fun! Love having those dates with you.
This pretty much sums up our January 2014!!! Lots and lots of fun, indeed!
