Marathon Weekend

Dear Abby,
Mommy, Mimi and Ash-ash completed our 4th half marathon and you know what that means, a weekend with Clara Lee!
I'm going to assume that the reason I did not take a single picture is because we were having the time of our life.  Let's go with that.  Friday night we did what we always do, go to Mellow Mushroom.  This time we were smart, or so we thought, and we sent Pic-pic and Uncle Jay up there early to get us a table.  Long story short, they were told 15 minutes, then went to the bar, then I went up to the hostess and she said an hour, then I got angry at Pic-pic and then he went to the hostess and they sat us immediately.  Or something like that.  To say the least, your Pic-pic has better luck than anyone I know.  I was about to tear into him if we had to wait an hour!!!
So we ate ourselves sick on the best pizza in the world and headed home to rest up.  This year we did not make you and the daddies meet us.  Instead, they took you and CL and Kate to your soccer game and we hurried hurried hurried and were able to finish the race and head straight to your game.  After the game we were all so worn out that we just chillaxed for the first time ever.  Daddy didn't even grill and we decided to go eat Mexican!  Mimi actually ended up pretty sick thanks to a sore throat, so they didn't stick around too long on Sunday.
We headed down to the Franklin Festival and ran into a couple good pals!
You four thought face painting was better than anymore slides and I'd have to agree.

I LOVE impromptu meetings of friends.  We had not eaten lunch yet and storms were making their way to us, but we all decided to go to Puckett's Boathouse and risk it!  We sat outside and ended up staying for over almost 2 hours!  We even ordered 2 desserts for you kiddos to keep you occupied!  We always have a blast with those folks and after pretty much running to our car on the other side of Franklin, we made it without a drop of rain on us.  But boy did it come as soon as we got buckled up!
A fun weekend!
