A Whole Weekend With Just Mimi!

Dear Abigail,
This past weekend, Mommy and Daddy took a little trip sans kiddos.  What's that got to do with you, you ask?  It means came to visit the whole weekend sans Mommy!!  And what does THAT mean???!!! Well, where to begin... First off, you got to skip school.  Well, for the record, it was a half day for you, which means 9-11, which means I wouldn't have done it either!  So instead of school, off you went to the zoo!  Yes, again.  Yes, it's our new favorite place.  Yes, it's still as exciting as the first time!

Because Mimi is awesome like that, she let you even play on the play ground for a really long time - or so you told me!

And, she even let you ride the train.  Mommy hardly ever lets you do that, so that was a special treat.
And you even made some new friends...
Later that day I asked Mimi if you (and your sis) had nap at all and her reply was "Yes, from the zoo to the candy store."  Yep, that's right, you left the zoo and went straight to the candy store.  I mean, it was Friday, and well, that's what you do on Fridays.  So of course you had chocolate and apparently you shared some with Sister and Mimi, so that was nice.  Eventually you guys did make it home, but not without stopping at the store to buy doughnuts for breakfast the next morning.  On Saturday, Mimi decided to be a little more low key, for Mimi that is.  So after "white doughnuts" you ran a couple errands and ate lunch at CFA.  Then, because it was so beautiful, Mimi decided to take you to the park!

I'm pretty sure everyone went to bed fairly early that night, or, well, you were in bed watching Mimi's show.  You LOVE to watch Mimi's show, although you can't tell us what her show is.  I'm pretty sure it's any show that is not your show, but nonetheless, we're still trying to figure it out.  For awhile I thought it was Dexter, because Mimi would catch up on missed episodes when she'd visit.  But this weekend I'm pretty sure it was Downton Abbey.  Mimi said you kept saying "Let's watch it until the married."  For some reason you thought there would be a wedding (or a married, as you like to call it).  Anyway, Mimi swears you aren't watching it, but if I start hearing an old English accent the truth will be known.  You two also decided to move the snake that was 'died' right in front of our driveway, so now it's even more convenient to visit... (please note the sarcasm).
Mom and Dad got home Sunday at noonish, and Mimi had planned on leaving immediately, but somehow she was convinced to stay one more night (YOU!!!!).  You begged Mimi to stay, and, well, why not!  Mimi stayed and we just hung out all day.  And again, she was supposed to leave Monday morning but decided to stick around through lunch so Mommy could meet a friend sans kiddos!  We got to keep this Mimi around, huh.  Don't worry, you won't let it be any different.  Mimi can't tell you no and you constantly ask her to visit, stay or come get you.  You had a fun, fun, fun time with Mimi sans Mommy and Mommy and Daddy had a nice weekend sans you :)  We even went on a 'hike' and Daddy climbed a tree for you!

And, to top off our awesome weekend, your BFF not only came to a UT football game, she wore orange and even gave me a high five the one time the team did something good!!  It's what BFFs do, so make sure you keep her, too!
Love you!
