Dear Lil,
Guess who came from a visit??!! How did you guess??? Well, anyway, that's right, your BFF came in town and boy did we have fun! She got here Thursday, but you were fast asleep, and to be honest, I'm pretty sure Mommy and Sarah weren't too far behind once she finally did get here!! We had to rest up - as usual, we had lots of fun to get to!!
Friday morning we decided we'd venture to the Adventure Science Museum. You've been with Daddy before, and I think even Miss Lee, but Mommy hadn't ever been with you, so I was super pumped. And of course Sarah was, as she loves anything with an adventure in it!! We had to make a couple pit stops first... Your school was having a bake sale, so of course we stopped by to get some goodies. You didn't quite get it that we were just visiting and thought, instead, that we were going to leave you there - which you wanted no part of! You weren't too excited about showing Sarah your class, but we finally made it down there and convinced you that you were indeed going with us!! After the bake sale, we stopped and got some lunch to take with us to the museum (we learned this trick a long time ago with your cousins Harrison and Spencer!). Finally we made it to the museum and boy did you have fun running around every where! Thank goodness Sarah was there so we could tag team, or well so I could take pictures and she could chase you....
You did all sorts of sciency things...
You loved the ball that floated in the air...
And were filmed during a fireworks show...
Threw some food into a mouth...
Sarah tried to show us how hi she could jump (it was too funny to say the least...)
And then the unforgettable dinosaurs... Boy, did you love those dinosaurs. I don't know if it has to do with the new "Dinosaur Train" show Daddy is trying to get you to watch/like, or if it was just a genuine fascination with these crazy HUGE creatures, but you constantly asked if we could go see the dinosaurs! And, of course, when we got there, you would be hesitant to even approach them.
Sarah even tried talking you through it... (there's a tunnel you can go in to see them closer)
You decided against the tunnel, but instead offered your water bottle to them! You are a sweety, aren't you!!

Well, we got you home without falling asleep, somehow, and that evening Ellie came over to spend the night!! It was Aunt Steph's and Uncle Jaybe's 10th anniversary, so we invited Ellie to hang out with us. And also invited the rest of the gang. Which didn't turn out quite like our usual Friday. First, as I mentioned, no Uncle Jaybe & Steph, second, no Mr. Lee. He was supposed to join us, so Ryan and Miss Leigh came on over, but then they had to leave because Mr. Lee's car wouldn't start, and he was far away, too!! So they were gone. Then I was on the phone for 45 minutes with a certain restaurant who shall remain nameless, so Sarah was dealing with you AND Ellie while Baby Grant was not having one of his finer moments, but finally, things settled down, all was calm, all was quiet! To say the least, not a single picture was taken that night...
Saturday was a different story, though. You woke up before Ellie, and came into Mommy's bedroom, as you usually do, so I put you in the bed thinking you may go back to sleep. Ellie was in our room, too, but in the pak n play. You laid still for a good bit, after convincing you that Ellie was sleeping and that you did NOT need to "See? See?". Of course, the second Ellie starting moving around screamed out "WHAT THAT" to which Ellie started talking to us, so I had to get you both in the bed, which you can only imagine how that turned out! It's okay though, it was time to get up - we had to get going!! We had your ZooBabes class that morning!! This was a pretty exciting week at ZooBabes. You got to meet a baby hedgehog AND a baby lynx!! that's right, a baby lynx!! First let's talk about the hedgehog. It had a pokey back, and you got to actually touch it!! And then the lynx... whoa! First, we all had to sit down, like EVERYONE, and then we were warned if there was any noise what so ever, that we'd have to walk outside and not get to see this lynx. We were all a little nervous, BUT, all the kids were great! He came out and played at first and then decided to take a nap on the ground. We got to see his paws, which was the theme of the class (Paws, Claws, and Spikes). There was not petting of the lynx though, but the teacher did bring him around to get a closer look at his cute face. It's pretty exciting because he will become a part of the exhibit one day and be a big ole scary looking kitty!!! And you can say "i remember when he was a baby!". Oh, and no pictures... After the meet and greet with the animals, we worked on the project which was making a hedgehog mask!!! You girls did perfect!!! and your BFF was right there to help with everything - or at least play with you!!!!
After a quick story and snack, it was off to the zoo! We decided to take Sarah to the new flamingo exhibit,
and you proceeded to show her how those pink birds stand...
and so did Ellie!
It was getting to a crunch time with naps, and we knew Uncle Jaybe and Aunt Steph would want Ellie to have a good nap at home, so we headed that way. Daddy was kind enough to watch you while MOmmy and Sarah went to lunch and THEN he let us take a nap!!!! Yay, finally Mommy had a nap!!! And then it even got better - Daddy stayed home with you while Mommy and your BFF went out to dinner!! I know, we missed you, and maybe you can go next time. Maybe... Sunday was here before you know it and after a little more fun playing with Sarah, off she went back to her home. You asked only 300 times "Where'd Sarah go?"... Later that day we headed to Uncle Jaybe's to watch the game/take a nap if your name is Abby, and then work on our house plans!! OH YEAH, that's right, house plans!!! Can't wait for those stories...
Anyway, awesome weekend with your BFF. She always knows how to rock it out!!!! LOVE YOU!
